This project has reached the stage where it no longer seems sensible to post totals at frequent intervals, but we are happy to report that we presently have approximately 2,400 entries (some of which contain more than one title) on our website. Though new information still keeps flowing in, we are confident that we have by now recorded most of the books and manuscripts once owned by William Morris. We are of course continuing to work on our backlog of notes as well as revising and improving individual entries. (We should add that the number of entries may occasionally shrink just slightly in the future, because a few of the titles now listed separately will be combined as Sammelbands.)
The search box above treats multiple words as Boolean and searches. Remember to place quotation marks around exact phrases. If you type part of a word, WordPress will find all possible variants of it: e.g., poem will find both poem and poems, and poet will find poet, poetry, poetical, etc.
We have classified books and manuscripts by date in the categories listed directly under the header and also in the dropdown menu below. For fifteenth- and sixteenth-century books, it is possible to search by year; for later books, by century only.
Finally, you should make use of the tag cloud below, which displays some of the most frequently occurring tags on this site. Click on any of them.
